Discussion:
Clark CGP25 brakes

I have a customer with this machine, s/n P365L that has a brake pedal that takes too much leg pressure to depress. Both wheels are braking great, but there seems to be too much effort involved in getting assist from the valve. Any ideas?

Ian,
Thanks for the reply. In this case it feels as if there is resistance on the pedal itself, almost like the pedal is stuck. It begins the travel hard to push, even before the shoes engage. When I return I will first check the shoe adjustment as you suggest.

Hi Forkliftt, this appears to be exactly same symptoms as I had last week, if you remember when you advised to adjust brakes.
I have been back to see customer and he tells me that since adjusting brakes he is happy with brakes and doesnt have to push as hard on pedal.
