Hi there
Can anyone comment on this please. When replacing an A5 card for one of these trucks, do they need to be programmed in with the laptop/software etc, or can this be done through the dash along with a can key?

Damaged cables where the loom exits the cab upright pillar is also another known weak spot on the old Reflex.
thanks for your comments,
it makes me belive, that a "spark-maker" guy was there before I was called. Since found inverter bridge, regulators and drivers damaged(steering circuit inside A5). could also see the steer motor cables were stripped to do something.
will go in the direction you recommend and let you know
i had a similar probelem when can bus cable were shorted. They were shorted next to the hyd. finger tip controls. there is a plug that would sometimes be connected to the pre height selector. if left for a long time it also damages the card. But the card is usually repairable. The truck was still fully functional but had a disply fault.
Hello,
Normally two dots appear on display you can check hydraulic valve box main wire harness shorted.please both side remove and continuity test
hi. electrodrive.
have a similar problem with a BT/nissan RRN35, only two dots appear on display and nothing powers up.
made some repairs to card A5, now only the main contactor close
and still the 2 dots.
Can i send you a mail to ask for a comment?
Thanks
I have an EX BT engineer who has the software I think, but I am not sure if it requires activation etc?
However at present I can ask him to do the programming if it requires.
Thanks for the info
No, el CANKEY es una llave electronica que te permite programar y acceder al modo servicio.

hola, Nacsand. un saludo de un primo de mexico..¡
el Cankey se refiere al pasword?
Hi
You need BT Truck Com software & the lead to program / copy the card configuration.
Also the card needs the correct software package for the family of Reflex in question.
Do you have access to BT Truck Com?
Hi Everyone
Thanks for the info. The reason I asked is because I have a toyota sent in with a fault where the 2 dots appear only on the display and nothing powers up. So I repaired a secondary card I had which I could see some physical damage and this now powers the truck display with error e150 and the original card has also now been repaired (atleast to the point where it now energises the system contacts and display and hydraulics work except steer and traction and displays error E121).
I was thinking if i could programme the E150 error card as the original.

If you want to copy the original hour meter readings over on to the new A5 card you need BT Truck Com software.
Its far easier to copy the parameters over & also program the clock at the same time.
The A5 for Reflex / Veflex is normally unlocked & allows the card to have the software packaged changed to a different type.
Its very rare for these cards to go wrong, I've still got 5 in my stock of bits from when I scrapped 5 old Reflex's many years ago.
If you connect a card up & it shows " tESt "on the display then it hasn't got any software programed in to it.
Hi electrodrive,
It can be full programmed through sevice CANKEY, do not need any laptop/software. It's very important A5 card has the right software according the model.
Is it a unit with keypad, black motor controllers etc..??
Regards
Edit: forgot to mention that the card must have already installed the software because if not, you need a special tool to install the software. In spare part book you can see A5 can be requested with software or without it
