Before the acquisition of Barloworld by Briggs this forum was full of posts by Barlow engineers moaning about their company.

Some things never seem to change !!

Briggs will take anybody on, no skills required. Poor reputation with skilled engineers in the industry. Anyone worth there salt moves on quickly. As for customers, they are Lucky to have any the way they treat them.

If things are so bad at Briggs I have two questions. 1 why don't people leave. 2 How do they still keep in business

Is there any truth in the rumour that Briggs can't get any engineers in Northern Ireland to work for them, because the package is poor ?

Fact of the week
The word "robotics" was coined by Russian-born American science-fiction writer Isaac Asimov who first used the word in 1942 in his short story 'Runabout'. He characterised robots as helpful servants and as "a better, cleaner race."
