Acceleratpr Control

Hello all,

I have an electric nissan that I just bought. At first I really liked that it wanted to go fast but when we are lining up forks to get a pallet up high or to stab through a sling someone is holding I now realize the accleration is too fast. The forklift wants to jump 1ft as soon as you barely tap the accelerator pedal. Even holding the brake and lightly tapping the accelerator is still too jumpy when trying to line things up delicately.

It has an accelerator control **** but doesn't matter if its turned to "quick" or "slow" the acceleration remains the same. Does anyone have experience with these? Im not sure what range the rhestat should be but I can measure resistance at quick is 0k and slowest setting is 240k
