TCM forklifts is considered as one of the smooth machine except electric TCM. I am working for TCM for many years at Mistermechanic.com and i recommend this is one of the best equipment tool as a durability, hight efficieny and productivity.

If one has "regained the trust", there is a strong implication that at one time it was lost. Fair conclusion??

I am a new TCM Dealer in Pennsylvania. I have to say that TCM Distribution USA has been unbelievably supportive and professional. I have to agree with the Godfather. Trust and loyalty are earned. They have invested in me and I have invested in TCM. So far so good! They are priced well, durable and my customers love them. I have delivered 5 to one customer and only perform routine maintenance on those units. I cannot find a single used TCM anywhere. Thsi speaks to the quality.

Richard you seem very misinformed. TCM Distribution formed in June 2005 to better serve the TCM forklift network has regained the trust and loyalty of their dealers. Their service, parts and sales departments all have worked hard to be the best. I believe conniving and underhanded is a harsh statement to make about anyone. You obviously have an ax to grind, and I think you need to take a long hard look in the mirror.

I agree that TCM builds a decent IC truck, however my experience has been that the management and management style of the distribution company that covers the eastern U.S. is horrendous. There seems to be a deep sense of mistrust of their dealers throughout the company including top management, service and sales departments. I have found them to work in a conniving and underhanded way.

Though I have only been in the business since 1975 and have not seen as much as some of the above experts, it is my opinion that TCM has one of the better lifts out there.
It is designed to be serviced, to last, and is a true work horse. True they do not have some of the whistles and bells as others but they don't have the issues others do.
Their parts avalibility is good, not perfect, but I have yet to see any of their competitors do any better.
Their electric line is small and they did have serious issues when they tried the GE Controllers but did change back and it is a solid truck.
They design a work lift truck and try to keep it simple while providing for operator comfort. Say what you will but for the money it is a hard machine to beat and I have seen alot of different lifts since 1975.
I have a lift truck service company and I can tell you my mechanics would prefer to work on a TCM over any of the others and we can get parts for them when needed.
I can not fathom an manufacturer setting out to make a bad lift truck but it is easy to see where the different ones have their priorites. There are entirely too many "good parts sellers" in the lift truck market today. One can only feel sorry for the people who work for the dealerships that sell those brands and more so for the people who buy them.
Having said that, being a lift truck service company we do appreciate the business they provide. Some brands we can look at the hour meter and know what is going to break next which makes having the parts on hand for when it breaks pretty easy to guess.

i have to refute,leobert with all due respect. tcm has one of the best "yard" trucks made, the isuzi diesel engines are one of the best in rough and tough applications. the new tcm gas and lp, are 50 state emission approved.........bill w,i agree on the comparision,raymond doesnt make a sit down electric,and crown has a limited choice in the're sitdowns.

TCM lift trucks is a decent truck but not durable especially the electric ones. They still use DC motors and the power steering is terrible, both feel and durability. For the I/C it lacks emission control and still using isuzu engine for the diesel and nissan engine for the gasoline. Hydraulic system is bad as leaks come in very early. In Japan TCM ranks number 7 overall. Toyota is number 1.

offerings.However,I don't think that it is
realistic to compare them with Linde,Raymond or Crown products,and here's why.In the U.S. market where I've
worked,those mfg. deal primarily in Class
II and Class III truck applications,while TCM
in the U.S. deals primarily in Class I,IV,V
applications.So comparing the "Big Three"
to TCM in that market segment,is not in my
opinion a viable comparison.For similar comparisons,I would check out TCM's I/C
and elec. lifts,with Hyster,Yale,Nissan,Cat
Toyota ect.That should give you a much more realistic comparison,in terms of specs
pricing ect.

It has been my experience that while the TCM is a decent lift, that there are better choices out there on the market when considering parts avaialability, durability, quality of construction, etc. That being said, I would say that the TCM IC line is better than the TCM electric line thus not putting TCM near the top of the electric market. They have a long way to go before they can hang with the Lindes, Raymonds, and Crowns of the world.
