I'm confident both were bad on mine and yes I used TVH transistor but yes the board in the kit didn't work, oem one did. Have fun

I bought a kit from TVH, from what I understand , you are suggesting I buy a OEM circuit board for lift heat sink, can I use the transistor I got from TVH

So, I second that my TVH driver board was the problem, OEM board fixed it

That was great info ifmike, I have this code and found terminal 2 to only have around 5ish volts but I already changed the transistor and driver board prior because truck appeared to have a dead short, now that is not an issue and now I have this code. You mentioned not to use an after market driver board, I did and than when it didn't completely fix I did search and found your post, have you had a lot of bad luck with them, I'm a little nervous I can't eliminate it as the problem. Lucky me this was a non runner from an auction! Any help is appreciated, I don't have any manuals

R6 code for what I have found means the lift Test failed. The lift card has 3 wires on it 1,2,3. Pos on one neg on 3 should read 11vdc give or take. Pos on 2 needs to be 7.2 or higher at start up and rest. Once this passes it will pulse the voltage down and read current. If current is read the truck passes. Do not use aftermarket lift card and change both card and transistor.

ok so i have had a chance to get back to this lift the first test it fails is the lift circuit test when i increase the current nothing happens. no lift or current increase i have followed everything in my book it goes back the replace the vehicle manager on this test
test A12 show my 6 volts when im at 0 amp when i go to lift the forks nothing change no voltage reading or amperage
test I05 passes test I14 passes
test I15 will show no when you enter the test as it should when you go to lift the forks it still shows no

any help would be great this lift is kicking my butt the lift worked great till it got sprayed with water not only did they get one but they didnt learn an got two lifts i have replaced everything on the lift heat sink an have had no luck

If you have a known good vm in there then that obiviously is not the issue, pins in connectors/wiring is still suspect.

Through my experiences with this truck sometimes you replace what tests bad on the lift heatsink and may miss another component that you don't have the ability to test due to other parts being bad. Key on and your new parts are toast and end up right back where you started. The lift heatsink used to be sold as an assembly and it was much easier then. Now you can buy all the bits and pieces on it...
There is no 1 part that causes 6r it's sort of a catch all for the transistor controlled lift system.
All that being said I assume you have the service manual, I suggest you follow the troubleshooting outline for 6r and reply back with your results, also there are other tests for the lift system not listed under 6r troubleshooting so check out any other tests that may be relevant and conduct them.

This is no cake walk, I have watched dealer techs have this code get out of hand fast with the vm being in excess of $5000 and heat sink above $2000. Proper testing is required.

You mention your swapping some wires on the amp card?
Is this the current sensors mounted on the contactor panel?

Can you list the output/input tests that have passed/failed?

We`re here for a good time
6r.... the worst Dss code. Seen people scrap the entire unit over the price of the parts...

Stupid question, the contact and fuses are ok?
