Seattle International Society for Performance Improvement - Presentation

United States, Mercer Island, WA - 22nd june 2004
Knowledge Anywhere's Dr. Clark Quinn will speak at the Seattle International Society for Performance Improvement.
Dr. Clark Quinn, director of user experience for Knowledge Anywhere, an award-winning provider of technology-based learning services for corporations, will deliver a presentation entitled: "Strategic Reorientation for Training: Reflections on a Performance Support Case Study."

Dr. Quinn's presentation at the monthly chapter meeting of the Seattle International Society for Performance Improvement will address the broad question of where training fits in organizational strategy. Dr. Quinn will present a significant case study that will be used to suggest one possible solution, based on an online-learning client's desire to take its next-generation system beyond onboard help to a performance-support environment. Dr. Quinn's secondary objective in that study was to provide a unified system for developing content and re-using that content in a variety of ways. Attendees will absorb valuable lessons from both the success and failures of the outcomes. This interactive session will also provide the goals, outcomes, and lessons learned, as well as a reflection on implications for the relationship of training organizations to business values.
WHY: Dr. Quinn joined Knowledge Anywhere as a key learning consultant in 2002, and has been leading educational system design for over 20 years, working with business, education, government, and the not-for-profit sectors to develop innovative applications that meet real needs. He is a recognized scholar in the field with an extensive publication and presentation record, and has been responsible for the design of award-winning online content, educational computer games, and websites.
