Fork Lift Truck Association Safety Conference 2003

United Kingdom, Gaydon, near Warwick - September 24th 2003
The Fork Lift Truck Association has announced initial details of its first ever Safety Conference which will cover the key issues relevant to end users of materials handling equipment.

The organizers state that a strong demand from members of the FLTA Safe User Group has weighed heavily on the decision to initiate this event. Designed around the safety concerns of SUG members, it will cover the main issues relevant to all users of materials handling equipment.

We have organised this conference to bring real and practical safety issues to people who can influence the work environment ?such as operations, safety and training managers,?says Association Chairman Brian Warbrick.

We will be promoting it both inside and outside the Association as an essential aid to improving safety in materials handling. In view of the huge potential for legal problems, economic losses and human tragedies if safety is not prioritised and understood, our message is: Can you afford not to be there??

In addition to the conference content, the impressive venue is certain to be an attraction to delegates. It features a superb collection of classic vehicles and motoring memorabilia, to which participants will have access, as well as excellent catering and meeting facilities.

This is a very significant development which will do much to broaden knowledge of safety issues,"says Brian Warbrick. We anticipate that, like the FLTA Awards for Excellence, the Safety Conference will become a key annual event in the materials handling calendar.
