CeMAT India

India, Bangalore - 4th to 7th December 2007
Deutsche Messe AG (Hannover, Germany) has taken another major step in expanding its global trade fair operations: Together with Fiera Milano S.p.A. (Milan, Italy), a cooperation agreement has been signed with the aim of jointly promoting and staging trade fairs in selected growth markets around the world, including the booming markets of India and China.

The first events to emerge from the new alliance will be held in India as early as 2007: From 27 to 30 November, four trade fairs representing key sectors behind Indias fast-growing economy will take place simultaneously at the Bangalore International Exhibition Center (BIEC): Industrial Automation INDIA, which will address all sectors and aspects of industrial automation; ENERGY INDIA, embracing the entire growth market of energy generation, storage and distribution; Motion, Drive & Automation INDIA (MDA INDIA), dedicated to power transmission and control technology; and CeMAT INDIA, covering the entire field of intralogistics from transportation to storage and warehousing, as well as packaging and order-picking technology. The parallel staging of these four events gives exhibitors and visitors a highly convenient and comprehensive showcase of industrial markets and interrelated technologies. This concept has a proven track record and already enjoys great success in Hannover and Shanghai. An rich supporting program promises added networking and business opportunities.

In each of the sectors represented by the above-mentioned shows, Deutsche Messe AGs new alliance has met with a positive echo: Numerous international industry associations have already pledged their commitment to MDA INDIA, including the Power Transmission and Control Association within the German Engineering Federation (VDMA), the Italian Association of Manufacturing and Trading Companies in Fluid Power Equipment and Components (ASSOFLUID) and the Italian Association of Gears and Transmission Elements Manufacturers (ASSIOT). Furthermore, the VDMAs Materials Handling and Logistics Association has already signaled its support for CeMAT INDIA.

Deutsche Messe AG known for its successful trade fairs in overseas locations such as China, Australia and Turkey bears responsibility for marketing the BIEC worldwide. Following the expansion of its activities to the high-growth Chinese marketplace, Deutsche Messe AG is now eager to also serve the trade fair needs of the dynamic Indian market, which is second only to Chinas. The new cooperation opens up another chapter in the companys ongoing globalization strategy.

The company will continue to pursue this international approach to meet its growth targets, Ernst Raue , member of the board of Deutsche Messe AG, Hannover.
