The Rental Show

The Rental Show is the American Rental Association's annual convention and trade show for the equipment rental industry. It features construction/industrial equipment, general tool/homeowner equipment and party/special event equipment, as well as rental-specific seminars and industry networking.


The Rental Show Facts

The Rental Show 2012 will be the American Rental Association's 56th annual convention and rental trade show. It is the rental industry's premier event.

2012 will mark the Show's seventh time in New Orleans. Previous conventions were in 1967, 1974, 1987, 1992, 1997 and 2002.

The number of rental business personnel in attendance at The Rental Show 2011 increased nearly 40 percent over the 2010 Show, while the number of rental businesses represented increased just under 30 percent.

There were 610 exhibitors at the 2011 Show in Las Vegas, including more than 100 companies exhibiting for the first time.

One manufacturer, Clarke, has exhibited at every Show, while 15 additional companies have exhibited for 50 years or more.

The 10 companies that have exhibited the longest have a combined 535 years of history at The Rental Show.

Attendees at the 2011 Show came from all 50 United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, all Canadian provinces and from 39 countries including Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Finland, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, the Russian Federation, South Africa, Uganda and the United Kingdom.

ARA members consistently rank the Show as one of the top services offered to them.

The Rental Show is ranked No. 52 on the Trade Show Executive Gold 100, based on the net. sq. ft. of exhibit space for the 2009 Show. (For 2008, the Show was No. 60.) In addition, The Rental Show is No. 57 on the Tradeshow Week 200 list of largest trade shows in the U.S. for 2009. This is the fourth consecutive year for The Rental Show in the top 65.
