16th Annual Breakbulk Conference & Exhibition

United States, New Orleans - 7th to 9th September 2005
This year we have made some major additions to the program that are aimed at providing attendees with the best perspective of the breakbulk transportation industry.

The second day of panels will include a wrap-up by one of the nation's top economic forecasters. Dr. Nariman Behravesh will provide first-hand insight into what changes in global finance and trade the world's leading economists are expecting in the near future.

This year's program includes regional panels covering South America, the Middle East and China, plus panels addressing important issues such as Export/Import Compliance, Port Congestion, Cargo Security, Loading and Lashing, Logistics Planning with the Federal Government, Tracking Project Cargo and the Future of Labor.

Attendees will hear views from a host of top-level executives, including: John Gundersen, Senior Director of Global Supply Chain Contracts and Facilities at Newmont Mining Corp., and Terry Soderstrom, Director of International Trade Compliance at Halliburton.

Fact of the week
The two internal cavities in our nose called nostrils function as separate organs. Each nostril has its own set of turbinates and olfactory receptors. The two independent organs work together through a mechanism called the nasal cycle, where one nostril is dominant for air intake while the other rests and is better at detecting scents.
