A death at KWVA 28-year-old woman has been killed in a freak forklift accident on the KWV site in Paarl, South Africa.
Police have identified the victim as Roché Fortuin, an employee of a third-party supplier, saying she was run over by a forklift and died from her injuries shortly after impact.
Eyewitnesses say neither the forklift operator nor Fortuin were aware of each other before the impact which trapped the victim under the machine.
The wine and spirit company says the accident will be investigated, with its full support, by the police and the Department of Labour.
