Michigan-headquartered Andersen Material Handling (AMH) is installing advanced solar panels across three of its locations in what it describes as “one of the largest private solar projects in Oakland County”.
The new installations include rooftop solar grids at AMH’s headquarters and integrated systems design facility, both in Wixom, and its Walled Lake power centre.
AMH chief executive officer Tom Campau says the solar installations serve two purposes.
“These solar installations not only reduce our operational costs but also allow us to be a part of Michigan’s clean energy movement,” Campau continues.
AMH was founded in 1960 to supply storage rack products before becoming the exclusive Raymond forklift dealership in Eastern Michigan. AMH also stocks Komatsu and Bobcat forklifts.
The company has sites in Michigan, Ohio and Florida.
