Barrel handler attachment from Kaup

Northumberland, United Kingdom

The Kaup Barrel handler forklift attachment, manufactured by Kaup and Treasury Wine Estates, is designed to facilitate the movement of barrels on and off master cradles at wineries.

This new attachment is a specialised forklift attachment designed to safely handle heavy wine barrels, which are typically made of oak and can weigh 272 kg or more when full.

“For wineries dealing with large volumes of barrels, this new attachment will streamline the ageing process and ensure proper wine production practices are followed,” says Mike Barton, managing director at B&B Attachments, Kaup’s sole UK distributor.

“This one piece of equipment has the potential to improve the handling process across the whole winemaking sector.”

Induction technology specialist, ENRX has unveiled ENRMOVE, a wireless charging system tailored for automated guided vehicles (AGVs), autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), forklifts, and other industrial vehicles.

According to the company, because it incorporates charging into operational workflows, the system removes the need for dedicated charging stations and manual intervention.

"Cables can break down, connectors may fail, and charging stations restrict workflow flexibility," says Magnus Terje Vold, chief commercial officer at ENRX. “ENRMOVE tackles these challenges directly."
