Rainbow Robotics' new RackBotUK-based robotics and automation solutions developer Rainbow Robotics has launched what it describes as “a paradigm shift in goods-to-person order picking” with its latest product RackBot.
Rainbow Robotics claims the automated picking solution can be installed in one-third of the time taken to construct traditional tote-shuttle systems and its compatibility with standard storage units means it cost “as much as 50% less to install…[than] more high-end storage systems”.
The company also says the agility and flexibility of RackBot make it “particularly suited to the new breed of micro fulfilment centres that feature in a growing number of supply chains".
Frazer Watson, Global Vice President of Rainbow Dynamic adds: “RackBot, does not require any costly fixed infrastructure, is straightforward to commission and is very quickly installed within busy warehouses, distribution centres and online fulfilment facilities.
“The fact that it is scalable and has built-in flexibility enables RackBot to adapt to a user’s changing requirements.”
Rainbow Dynamics operates offices in the US, UK, Europe and UAE.
