As flagged last week, several regions around the world are cleaning up after some devastating weather events and our thoughts are with all the victims.
Unfortunately, the current disaster will have the most impact on those least prepared and with limited resources.
We are seeing impressive collaborations in the United States, where the logistics and materials handling industries have rallied to the assistance of the broader communities affected. But alas, on the other side of the world, in Asia, there appears little evidence of concerted industry support and collaboration.
At this stage, it is not clear whether forklift manufacturing operations, especially in China, have been affected, but it's hard to imagine that the destruction of the past few days will not have some impact.
