It's probably not one of the applications prescribed by manufacturers, but a forklift was used to steal a two ton safe.
Pottawatomie County police have arrested two men in connection with the robbery at a tag agency in Wanette.
Police estimate the pair were on the premises for more than three hours, and used a forklift to get in through the back door and pry it open.
Then they used a cherry picker from the connecting business, Wanette Tractor, to drag a safe out of the building and onto a white Chevy truck they were driving.
"The safe was found on the side of the road in Ada a couple of days after the break-in - still sitting on the truck bed, but the rest of the truck was gone.
"With the safe being heavy, when they tried to pull it out of the back of the truck, it pulled the tailgate off, so we were ... looking for a white Chevy truck with no tailgate," says a police spokesman.
Police have confirmed the arrests of Dustin Adam Hoots and Adam Black Hamilton.
One of the arrested men was wearing an ankle monitor during the time of the theft and police were able to pull his GPS locations, showing him at the crime scene at the time of the break-in.
