 Kaufland has revealed its distribution location |
Germany's Kaufland has selected Merrifield Business Park in Melbourne's north for its first Australian distribution centre.
The supermarket chain has purchased a large 28-ha site on which it plans to construct a 115,000 sqm purpose-built distribution centre.
The facility will be one of the largest of its kind in Australia and cost close to $460 million.
When completed, the facility is expected to bring an additional estimated 600 jobs to the local area.
