Volvo CE has appointed Scott Young as head of sales region North America.
Young was formerly head of the Volvo CE Uptime Centre of Expertise and has held several roles within the company in strategy, technology and other functions.
He replaces Stephen Roy, who recently became president of Mack Trucks.
Volvo CE also announced a series of other executive appointments, naming Mats Sköldberg as head of technology and Jay Parker head of digital and information technology.
Sköldberg replaces Thomas Bitter, who will oversee the company’s recently announced compact business unit.
Meanwhile, Joakim Arndorw has been appointed the new head of Volvo CE sales region international. Arndorw is currently managing director for Swecon Anläggningsmaskiner, the retail operations for Volvo CE in Sweden.
Jason Kowalskie

Tompkins Solutions has named Jason Kowalskie as vice president of sales.
Kowalskie has more than 25 years of experience developing and implementing large scale warehousing and transportation solutions for small and medium-sized business (SMB) to enterprise customers.
Prior to joining Tompkins, Kowalskie served as director of business development for Shipwire, a CEVA Logistics company, and also held director-level positions with Kuehne+Nagel and Transport Express, Inc.

Mike Byrom

Mike Byrom has been appointed the new chief operating officer United States and Canada at Swissport, replacing Nelson Camacho, who took over the role of chief executive officer US and Canada in July.
Byrom, who was previously vice president airports at Spirit Airlines, will be responsible for Swissport’s operational service delivery in the US and Canada as the company accelerates its domestic expansion.
In his previous role at Spirit Airlines, Byrom oversaw a workforce of more than 6,000 workers across 90-plus stations in the US, Latin America and the Caribbean.
“With his vast experience focusing on the delivery of clockwork airport operations on the airline side, he is well prepared to take Swissport’s operational performance to the next level,” Camacho says.
