Manitou has launched a new compact telehandler for the North American market, the Manitou MTA 519.
Also available under the Gehl brand as Gehl TH5-19, the telehandler has a height of 6 ft. 4 in. (1.9 m) and a width of 5 ft. 11 in. (1.5 m) and a turning radius of 10 ft. 10 in. (3.3 m).
The telehandler’s size, along with slinging points at the front and rear of the machine, means it’s easy to transport to job sites.
Manitou unveiled the new model at the ARA Show in New Orleans, billed as the world’s largest equipment and event rental show.
The new model has a universal skid-steer mount and so can be used with a very wide range of attachments.
This allows rental companies to reuse attachments that work with their loader ranges.
The MTA 519 has also been designed to meet the needs of as many users as possible, with step-free access to the cab, an ergonomic dashboard and excellent visibility.
A single joystick in the cab simplifies boom operations, making it easier to operate the machine.
An automatic parking brake is also standard on the MTA 519.
Components are easy to access, so users can carry out maintenance operations with greater ease, thus reducing the total cost of ownership.
