Komatsu New Zealand has officially opened its new South Island Hub facility in Christchurch.

The state-of-the-art facility, which was commissioned late mid-2020, offers greatly enhanced service and support capabilities for Komatsu customers throughout the South Island.

Almost triple the size of Komatsu's former Christchurch branch, the new South Island Hub is located in the new industrial subdivision of Hornby South, on Gallagher Drive.

It backs onto the recently completed Christchurch Southern Motorway, giving easy road access to the main highways serving the entire South Island.

Rob McGregor, Komatsu NZ's South Island regional manager, says the new facility has already proven to be a huge step forward in terms of the service and support the company can now offer customers throughout the island.

Since opening its previous Christchurch facility in 2007, Komatsu has grown from six staff members to nearly 30.

"Today, our machine population throughout the South Island is more than eight times larger than it was in 2007 - and it's continuing to grow," he adds. "That's a key reason why we've significantly expanded our operations and capabilities here in Christchurch."

Words of support …

I know I can count on them. They give valuable suggestions on the campaign planning, and to publish content is as easy as abc, as they take care of the material layout and check links. This is a great support.
