Jordahl USA introduces protective enclosures for charging stations

Jordahl USA, a US-based manufacturer specialising in fastening and reinforcement technologies, has released four new protective enclosures designed to safeguard wireless charging stations.

Jordahl USA says the enclosures are designed to optimise fleet management, increase efficiency, and reduce vehicle and space requirements, while at the same time, improving uptime for automated guided vehicles (AGVs), autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), and mobile robotics.

The first of the four enclosures, the flush to the floor WCPS-R-3013 is formed of stainless steel with a 3,720 lb. (1,687 kg) static wheel load. It has the capacity to protect wireless charging pads and cables from harsh elements and cross traffic.

The second enclosure, the ISO Class 3 compatible WCPS-Ram is an on-the-floor wireless charging protection system designed for environments where a non-invasive, non-permanent installation is desired.

It features a modular stainless-steel construction, which allows extension of width and length to accommodate vehicle size and to create multi-station charging queues.

The third enclosure, the WCPS-RF, is an ISO Class 3 compatible protection system. According to Jordahl USA, it is suitable for installations in raised floor environments, such as those found in laboratories, factories, and clean rooms.

And finally, the WCPS-400-SP is a versatile, portable, repositionable on-floor wireless charging protection system. Constructed of stainless steel, the low-profile panel is suitable for protecting charging pads in areas where the workflow changes or portable wireless power is needed.
