R U OK? in Trucks & Sheds campaign

This week the Australian Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds organisation encouraged those working in the warehousing, transport and logistics sectors to genuinely ask each other R U OK?

While national R U OK? day will this year be held on Thursday, September 11, Healthy Heads runs its own campaign, focusing on people working in these sectors to ensure there is a spotlight on their mental health.

“For the fourth year in a row Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds and R U OK? have teamed up to ensure everyone working in the road transport, warehousing and logistics industries know when and how to meaningfully connect and genuinely ask, “are you ok?,” the organisation states.

While R U OK? in Trucks & Sheds National Day of Action was May 6, it is not too late to ask those you work with if they are indeed OK, with this year’s theme being - Ask R U OK? - No qualifications needed.

“Ask R U OK? – No qualifications needed aims to break through this stigma and highlight that you don’t need to be qualified counsellor to check in with a colleague or friend,” Healthy Heads adds.

Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds provides a national approach to improving mental health and physical wellbeing for people working in the transport, warehousing and logistics sectors.

The organisation was founded in 2020 by Australia Post, Coles, Linfox, Toll, Ron Finemore Transport, Woolworths and Qube.

“Our goal is to provide everyone in the transport and logistics industries with what they need to support their mental health and physical wellbeing, and to ensure these needs are recognised as being vital to support a thriving workforce into tomorrow,” the organisation states.
