A.M.B. Lift is among four new Canadian dealers |
UniCarriers Americas Corporation (UCA) has added four new authorised dealerships in Canada in a bid to expand its dealer network and cover specific regions throughout the country.
These four new UniCarriers by Nissan Forklift brand dealers reportedly represent more than two-thirds of UCA's Class I to V forklift sales in Canada.
One of the new dealerships is All-Lift Ltd., which is claimed to be the single biggest used forklift dealer in Canada. The company has been around since 1976 and operates two locations - Brampton and Scarborough.
For UniCarriers, All-Lift will be responsible for the greater Toronto area, including Brant, Bruce, Chatham-Kent, Dufferin, Durham, Elgin, Grey Haldimand, Halton, Hamilton, Huron, Lambton, Middlesex, Niagara, Norfolk, Oxford, Peel, Perth, Simcoe, Toronto, Waterloo, Wellington and York.
According to Greg Bennett, sales manager at All-Lift, the company added three salespeople, a sales coordinator, a rental coordinator, a third person in parts and an additional four service techs to support the new UniCarriers Americas partnership. "We have already capitalised on the amazing sales and service training that is offered by Unicarriers. We have hit the road running and have tools and knowledge to keep up that momentum," he adds.
All-Lift also carries the Combilift line of multi-directional forklifts, the Aisle-Master line of articulating trucks and the full line of scrubbers and sweepers manufactured by Factory Cat.
The second new authorised dealership is Deval, the exclusive Canadian distributor for TCM brand forklifts since 1983, which adds UniCarriers to the existing Barrett line. Deval is headquartered in Saint-Laurent, Quebec, and has a branch location in Brantford, Ontario. Through the UniCarriers partnership, Deval will be responsible for Montreal and the regions of Laval, Llanaudiere, Laurentides and Monteregie.
To support its dealer agreement, Deval plans to increase its staff and hire five to eight new employees in the first year, according to sales manager Bruno Caouette. Additionally, all technicians will have access to service training offered by UniCarriers. "This is essential to maintain the excellence in after-sales service," he says.
Since 1983, EMU, the third new UniCarriers dealer, has grown to become one of the largest storage solutions specialists in Quebec. The company is headquarterd in Quebec, with a second location in Chicoutimi. EMU also offers materials handling equipment from Crown, Clark and Doosan, as well as racking and the Pentalift dock leveler. EMU will be in charge of all of Quebec for UniCarriers Americas, with the exception of Outaouais.
According to sales manager Nicolas Potvin, EMU has added three employees to handle the new UniCarriers business. He says becoming part of the UniCarriers dealer network will benefit current materials handling customers by providing better support from the factory and quicker answers for requests.
The fourth new dealership is A.M.B. Lift Inc., which is headquartered in Carp, Ontario. The company is a full-service materials handling provider featuring both new and used equipment sales, service, rentals, parts and training. A.M.B. Lift is also a dealer for Hiab, Moffet and Multilift.
As part of the dealer agreement with UniCarriers, A.M.B. Lift Inc. will cover the Ontario counties of Algoma, Cochrane, Dundas and Glengarry, Haliburton, Hastings, Lanark, Leeds and Grenville, Lennox and Addington, Manitoulin, Muskoka, Nipissing, Northumberland, Ottawa, Parry Sound, Peterborough, Prescott and Russell, Prince Edward, Renfrew, Stormont, Sudbury and Timiskaming. Additionally, A.M.B will also provide service for clients in the Outaouais province in Quebec.
Since becoming a UniCarriers dealer, A.M.B. Lift has added an additional parts employee, sales representative and road technician, says Geoff Brisson, sales manager. He adds that by becoming part of the UniCarriers dealer network, it can now offer a full line of Class I through V equipment.
