SJF Material Handling to be Ideal distributor

US-warehouse integration and automation provider SJF Material Handling Equipment has been named a distributor for Canadian Ideal Warehouse which sells warehouse and loading dock safety products.

SJF was founded in 1979 and provides warehouse equipment including pallet racking and conveyor systems. SJF’s collaboration with Ideal Warehouse will see it add docking products and forklift accessories to its product range.

SJF is an online store based in a 13,935 sqm warehouse on 25 acres in Minnesota.

DSV opens warehouse in the Phillippines

Danish logistics and freight company DSV has opened a purpose-built, 34,800 sqm warehouse in Cavit in the Philippines, expanding its presence in the Asia Pacific region.

In a statement, DSV says the Silang warehouse has been designed to optimise storage capacity and streamline supply chain processes while lighting a “beacon for the strategy we have planned for the APAC region”.

DSV Solutions APAC executive vice president Guillaume Burette says of the opening: "Being one of the fastest growing emerging markets in the world, the Philippines economy has shown strong recovery and DSV is poised to meet the demand of the market with the new warehouse”. 

Founded in Denmark in 1976, DSV operation 80 countries providing warehouse, logistic and flight solutions.

Exide releases new Solition material handling battery

Battery solutions Exide Technologies has released the Solition material handling battery, using lithium ion phosphate technology and which has been tailored for sustainable industrial operations.

Exide says key features of the battery include the latest lithium ion phosphate prismatic cells for optimised energy density, fast charging capabilities, cloud-based services for remote monitoring of battery performance and “double the capacity of conventional-lead batteries”.
