The French multinational construction material corporation, located in Italy for over 130 years, confirms the use of Bolzoni Auramo paper roll clamps at the Italian facility of Termoli.

The customer, for the plasterboard sheets production, has the need to continuously supply materials in the production area, especially paper. 

Handled in very large reels, with a high unit value, paper rolls are delicate and can be easily damaged.

In order to constantly support the production process and to transport paper rolls easily and safely in the cardboard-gypsum laminating area, it is necessary to use dedicated equipment.

The right model for the application

Given the packaging, the type of paper, the size and the weight of the roll to be handled, Bolzoni recommended the Bolzoni Auramo paper roll clamp AR-RH model. The clamp, with 180 degrees rotation, has been equipped with specifically designed contact pads, to ensure the best grip and to avoid roll slipping or out-of-roundness risks.

The paper rolls are safely handled, during all phases: from truck unloading to warehouse storage and subsequently to the processing area. In particular, during the feeding phase of the laminating machine, the rotation of the roll takes place in a controlled way, with cushioning end stops.

Bolzoni Auramo attachments are designed in order to face highly wear-out repetitive operations: this paper roll clamp is mounted on electric forklift truck, and is exclusively dedicated to the handling of paper rolls for plasterboard production.

For the Saint-Gobain plant in Termoli, it is important to prevent possible unforeseen events and to ensure safe and damage-free handling.

For 21 years paper rolls have been handled with Bolzoni Auramo clamps, with good performance and in line with the tight production schedule. 

And that is why today Bolzoni has been confirmed as supplier and the used clamp is replaced by a new attachment, identical to the previous one.
