 Cascade's booth at LogiMat |
Spring is a busy time of year for many. For those in the material handling industry, some of the largest industry trade shows occur in March and April. Cascade Corporation, a global leader in material handling solutions, including sophisticated lift truck attachments and forks, recently showcased at several trade shows around the globe. It's been a very successful run of shows and Cascade would like to thank the show organizers and attendees for making them positive experiences.
One such recent show was LogiMat, held in Stuttgart, Germany mid-March. Attendees were able to get a close-up look at
Cascade's J-Series White Goods Clamp, the latest attachment of its kind and a recent release for Europe. Udo Schmidt, Country Sales Manager for Germany, said the
35E Push/Pull on display, an innovative solution for pallet-less handling, was also popular.
"There's much more demand for materials handling solutions; the market is booming for warehouse trucks and attachments," said Schmidt, describing the growth he saw in the market.
Not far from Stuttgart, Cascade also participated in Multimodal in Birmingham, UK. Multimodal is a freight transport, logistics and supply chain management event for the UK and Ireland, hosting representatives from industries of all kinds. For Cascade's first time attending this show, UK Country Manager David Kemp was able to show off the
22H Paper Roll Clamp to booth visitors, as well as services provided by
Cascade's fork division.
"It's important to attend various shows to explore new ideas," said Kemp,
"and it affords us the opportunity to introduce Cascade to new people." Global Product Manager Greg Nagle at Forge Fair with a Cascade Forge Clamp |
In addition to the large-scale shows that operate with a broad focus, Cascade also seeks out shows that serve specific industries, such as Forge Fair. The largest display of forging-related products and services in North America, it was the perfect opportunity to showcase one of
Cascade's Forging Clamps, an effective attachment for loading and unloading furnaces and forging presses. According to Joe Botelho, of Cascade Special Application Product Sales,
"It's all about getting opportunities to network, learn about new technology. Most importantly, it's about meeting customers and prospects to discuss how Cascade's global capabilities in the forging industries can meet their needs."Most recently, Cascade completed an exciting week at ProMat 2017, the largest North American trade show for businesses working in the supply chain and materials handling. It was ProMat's largest show yet, and according to Keith Miller, Cascade Director of Sales USA, Mexico, Central and South America, one of its most successful.

"ProMat was exceptional, best I have seen in years - perhaps ever." What makes a show successful depends on a company's goals, but it's always good to have a lot of visitors at your booth.
"We were thrilled with the number of visitors to our booth," said Miller.
"We could have used twice as many Cascade representatives to satisfy the demand."There's more still to come!
Cascade will be attending Korea Mat April 18 - 21, with a variety of attachments and fork products selected especially for the versatility required in materials handling and logistics industries. Cascade will also be exhibiting at the annual MHEDA Convention (Booth #411) and WERC Conference (Booth #700) in North America.Anyone who attends or exhibits at trade shows knows that each show is unique with something great to offer; Cascade is excited to have had the chance to be a presence at so many this season.
