wont shift into forward or reverse

Can anyone help me figure out why my forklift won't shift from forward or reverse. Starts fine, plenty of power, transmission fluid good. Cant figure it out. Cant seem to find a break in the wires also has a code 54

I fixed it 2 broke wires. forward and reverse wire broke within 5 mins of each other. which made it really confusing to diagnose.

Code 54 is for swing solenoid abnormality.....check swing solenoid for open/shorts...and should be a diode in the system also...check that....check wiring to it dor opens/shorts
