Discussion:
Jungheinrich reach stacker ETV 214 How to tilt the mast to rest it on the canopy?

Hi everyone.

The mast of my ETV214 is 3 meters high when folded.
I have to transport it in a tarpaulin-covered truck.
So I need to reduce the height.
I know it's possible to tilt the mast backwards until it rests on the canopy.

would someone be able to provide me with the procedure or describe it to me precisely so that I can do the job?
thank you for your help.

You need hoist mast in a secure way, disconnect quick connect hoses with special forks or with two basic - screwdrivers, then there is the matter of releasing tilt cylindets from mast. After that you may need to also release reach cylinders, but I'm not 100% sure. Last step is to release the big mast axle on both sides of the mast on which the mast usually tilts, it's fixed with hexagon bolts and you may need a large allen key or allen socket. This is also important to rotate the mast axles as they are not 100% round and can be in way of lowering the mast by turning them like 90 degrees it should be ok. All this is done by trained tech in under 1.5h

Fact of the week
The dot-com bubble, a period of large and rapid investments in internet-based companies, peaked in 2000 and saw the Nasdaq Composite index rise by 579%. Then the bubble imploded. As the value of tech stocks plummeted, cash-strapped internet start-ups became worthless and collapsed.
