Discussion:
Code 72-4 Wheel angle setting

Hoping someone can help, I think I accidentally reset or changed a setting that turned the steer angle sensor back on, code 72-4 , this truck is not equipped with the sensor so I am wondering where to turn the function off.

Thank you in advance for any assistance

It turned the sensor on in the dash for the steering wheel, I got it resolved, it's option 13 , some trucks (I am guessing 4 wheelers) have a sensor on the steering wheel, that setting automatically comes on when you turn SAS on, I was in the dash for another problem (the dash has glitches, we replaced the dash battery and were trying to verify some settings) and had changed it because I didn't think 3 wheelers had that option and that it was called something different, but when I did the mast would no longer go down, then when I put it back this error wouldn't go away. Setting 13 has to do with the two sensors calibrating to each other, and you can turn it off, unless you have a dash that will not like I did, I ended up having to use a different dash to switch it off and then put the dash that was originally in it back in

Your truck doesn't have a sensor mounted on the steer cylinder ? I don't have manual access to check but I thought 72-4 was related to that sensor, not the right kingpin mounted sensor like on 4 wheelers.
