Toyota 7FGU25:
Runs bad on gas, but fine on LPS

I have 7fgu25 that runs well on LPS but bad on gas, it never gets ran on gas and I had to replace a dry-rotted fuel pump and lines, there are several wires under the hood that have been chopped and are not hooked up, one being the solenoid on the side of the carburetor(iv powerd this w/jumper didnt seem to help), the symptoms are stalling from low idle, hunting for rpm and stalling after throttle stabs, hard restarting unless the pedal is at WOT, it will start and run high idle(cold start warm up) on gas but as it comes to normal idle it will hunt and stall, its seems to run better with the auto choke actuator vac line removed, i can also open the throttle plate screw to increase the rpm and it will idle but poorly, the carb mixture screw seems to have no effect on it and i can increase rpm spraying carb cleaner at the lower left side of the carb seems to be the base gasket and or possibly 1 or more vac lines there sucking, once it taste the carb cleaner the rpm picks up and engine smooths out.

I replaced that part and it will idle and start good now how ever I have the issue still that when the throttle is stabbed the engine bogs and can die if not let off, I believe its lacking fuel, runs good at wot, it's just that transition range from 0 throttle input to probably about 1/2

The solenoid on the carb is a fuel shut-off solenoid and if it is not opening then it will only draw a small amount of gas through it. Which in turn will only allow it to idle somewhat. Pull it out and power it up but you also have to ground it to the chassis. Sometimes you will have to push the center stem in slightly to get it to work because when threaded into the carb it seats against the jet internally.
