New, to this thing? Anyhow the serial number of this Yale lift is N452656. My email is in the profile but hps2322@yahoo is it. I think I've traced it to the contactors or at least I think that's what these are? Strange sequence of events led me there. First play appeared in the Joy stick. Then sporatic going forward accompanied with sticking going forward. Followed by no forward. Then the strange occurance. If I layed on the horn with the joystick pressed foward it went. This only lasted a day or two. My belief is the vibration from the horn was assisting a conductivity? Just a guess. Then no forward at all. Reverse ok but no forward. I did find the cause of the play which was a broken pin which pinned one of the plastic gears. But still no forward which led me in the side panel which led me to the contactors (what I believe are them) 4 placed 2 on top of 2. The bottom right one seems to have worn out springs? I think you're right in your diagnosis but I'm not sure which one is the reverse contact. Both the bottoms one's seem to engage/dis-engage whether you try forward or reverse. The top left seems to operate the lift and top right I'm not sure what it does? What I do know though is, I appreciate your help.
