Discussion:
power steering leak

I purchased an older Clark C50B in Aug. 2018. It worked fine for about 6 mo. I only put about 30 minutes of use on it in the 6 mo. period. Now when I start it up I get a power steering reservoir over flow. The power steering fluid turns pink and foamy, if the cap is off the reservoir it overflows, if cap is on, it leaks under cap. Where should I start? Thanks JIm

I think that can happen if the seal on the pump shaft fails. Try removing the pump off the generator and replace the seal.
