Linde V08-02 Battery Guage callibration

I have two Linde V08-02, the fault was that the battery guage wasnt showing full battery voltage. we have had the battery checked and that has come back okay and Linde recomended that we change the battery display but the fault is still happening. We have asked Linde to callibrate the display to batterys correct voltage but they say you cant do it. the display will say 40% when the battery is 80%. any pointers?
