hyster electric trucks

I am having a hard time changing the brush springs on traction motors. any idea if a tool is made or can i fab one?

a seal pick type tool works great
i keep a few of these just for this purpose alone
you can find those type that are just a 90 deg tip and with those you can grab under the hook of the spring, work it around and over the top of the brush holder just fine, even without taking the motor brush housing off the motor. :o)

I did pull the end off and worked on the bench but was hard to hold and twist spring with a screwdriver and push onto the brush holder. Seems like somebody would make a tool for this.

Changed quite a few of these over the years and everytime think of this.pulling the end plate with the brushgear on does take time but makes life easier
