Discussion:
Code 27

Have a code 27. Checked voltage to the red wire on connector PB1 (crown wire ca401-1). +24.7. Battery is a little low but still in range. Installed reman control card and same problem. What am I missing. Contactor do pickup and than drop out. Slight noise from the transistor before contactors drop out.

Currently fighting a truck with this code getting 25v to card only drops 0.010V then codes the 27 did the resistor update and a new transistor brake releases contactors pull in soon as pot is in range to move codes 27 swapped control card and 402-1 wire just to be sure it had good contact. At a loss here

This is a good one. Battery is good, connections all are good. Good voltages to the card and to contactors. Contactors pick-up. Tried new card and same problem. Had replaced the transistor prior to this problem. Did have noise out of the transistor but no output to the motor. Replaced the transistor and problem gone. Installed old control card and still is working. Not sure why. Went through the panel one more time to make sure the was no wiring or connection problems. Unit is still working great. Not sure how this could give a code 27.

Code can pop up when control card supply voltage drops below 10v. Bad connection or connector at CA402-1. Battery could have bad cells or drops considerably under load. Poor forward or reverse switches?

Fact of the week
The two internal cavities in our nose called nostrils function as separate organs. Each nostril has its own set of turbinates and olfactory receptors. The two independent organs work together through a mechanism called the nasal cycle, where one nostril is dominant for air intake while the other rests and is better at detecting scents.
