The organisers state this seminar will cover "What every warehouse manager should know about layout and design" and that the challenge for warehouse managers lies in redesigning their existing facilities since the doors and work areas and columns cannot be changed. They also state this seminar is designed to help you maximize warehouse space for greater efficiency and productivity.
There are few hard and fast rules for warehouse layout and design, but there are fundamentals as well as effective rules of thumb that will help maximize the space available. This practical hands-on presentation will define those elements and provide tools and techniques to improve your operations immediately.
The presenters are;
Robert B. Silverman is President of Gross & Associates, consultants in Material Handling Logistics, specializing in distribution operations design. He has managed hundreds of projects in warehouse sizing and design, operations improvement, warehouse slotting, location network modeling, and computer simulation, and has directed assignments in Europe, Asia, and South America as well as all over the United States.
M. Geoffrey Sisko is a Principal with Gross & Associates. With over 25 years of experience in manufacturing, planning, domestic and international distribution, construction management and general management, he brings a unique perspective to this seminar.
