The mobile/residential division will consist of all Taylor Power Systems mobile products, and all products that are not manufactured by Taylor Power Systems

This includes Briggs and Stratton Products, Taylor TR and TMC models, partnered products, renewable energy products, and any other product that we sell in the future that is not manufactured by Taylor Power Systems


Strategy


The main strategy for this division is to strategically grow the mobile, residential, and partnered product lines that Taylor Power Systems offers

Create a network of partnered, mobile, and residential sales representatives to strategically cover all territories in the United States

Target as many licensed electricians as possible, and partner with them to assist with residential installs to speed up the quoting process and efficiently cover more territories in the residential market

Setup floor plans to stage as many allied products on site at TPS, and other SSI locations so not as much up-front capital is required for inventory to sell

Work with partners to negotiate the most competitive prices, and coordinate logistics for inventory

Use Taylor Leasing and Rentals Financing option to start calling on the 200 customers that rent from SSI each year to see if they would be interested in financing generators, light towers, fuel tanks, etc....

Continue researching and developing plans to bring renewable energy technology, and other new products to market underneath this Division

Work closely with the TPS engineers to design more mobile products to satisfy customer needs, and increase mobile sales

Work with the marketing manager to create ads to target specific markets to help increase sales for all Mobile, residential, and allied products.


Territory Growth Strategy


Within the first year, the goal will be to find and hire 3 Sales Representatives to cover the Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Texas, and Florida Territories. We will eventually need to add more in those territories to cover them 100%

After we sustain our footprint in those states, we need to work up the east coast states such as Georgia, North and South Carolina, and Virginia. Then we start working inland from there

Although those are the targeted territories to start off with, sales can be made in any state if the opportunity arises


Job Duties


Be responsible for managing sales, cost of sales, expenses and gross profit that will be monitored and measured on the monthly Profit & Loss Statement.

Attend weekly staff meetings of the TPS management team to report on quotes, sales, potential markets and to discuss needed support from other areas.

Coordinate with other Sales Managers and department managers and work as a team.

Provide weekly written reports to detail activity within the division.

Perform annual review for all direct reports. Enforce company policies and rules of conduct.

Hire and train new employees when needed. Arrange for ongoing technical and skill training.

Mange data within the Salesforce CRM. Assist in training new employees on the CRM.

Grow and expand existing territories and markets through development of strategic plans. Participate in forecasting and planning for needed inventory. Provide reports and analysis on quote activity, call activity, sold versus forecast and other measurements of the sales team.

Schedule, plan and attend trade shows, customer presentations and industry events. Work with the Marketing Manager on advertising and promotion and social media ads. Make customer visits with salespeople and bring customers for tours of TPS facilities.

Conduct regular sales meetings and provide communication and motivation to the sales team.

Monitor past dues, manage collection efforts, and make determinations on customer credit terms and limits.
Requirements / Skills
Qualifications:


Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the power generation industry

Experience with any CRM, or manufacturing software

Good mechanical knowledge of generators and transfer switches

Computer skills to include use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Email

Ability to read and interpret detailed written bid specifications

Ability to call on customers and prospects at all levels of business

Proficient at following up with customers on quotes that have been provided

Must work well with others and possess good people skills



Educational Requirements


Bachelor's degree in Marketing preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
