Doosan introduces larger forklifts
Northampton, United KingdomThe largest forklifts in Doosan Industrial Vehicle's new 7-Series range have started rolling off the production line, bringing to market 10 to 16 T trucks.
Built in South Korea, the D100S-7 to D160S-7 models are suited to demanding industrial environments including heavy manufacturing, mining, construction and the metals and timber industries. The entire range is also fitted with Doosan's award-winning G2 engine, which meets stringent new EU emissions standards without using a diesel particulate filter.
DIV UK director Tim Waples says: "We are already receiving UK orders ahead of the UK launch later this year as customers can see clearly what a leap forward the 7-Series represents for the big truck market."
The introduction of the larger forklift models follows DIV's launch of 2 to 5.5 T models in 2014 and the 6 to 9 T models in January this year.
Nexen grows portfolio with new models
Lowestoft, United KingdomNexen has expanded its product portfolio to include a dedicated range of warehouse models.
The new Aufero range comprises over 25 different battery-operated products. These include mains-charged pallet trucks, industrial battery pallet trucks, both stand-on and walk-behind, and stackers. Tow tractors, order pickers and reach trucks complete the line-up.
These models complement Nexen's materials handling equipment range, which features the Premium X range, intermediate Libero, the market entry Relevo series of internal combustion trucks and the Attollo range of electric machines.
Hoist introduces new model
Bedford Park, IL, United StatesHoist Liftruck has introduced a new FR Series extendable counterweight forklift model designed to offer versatility to the 15,000-25,000 lb. (7-11 T) capacity forklift market.
The FR 15/25 is engineered to have virtually the same footprint as a 15,500 lb. (7 T) forklift, but also achieve the capacity of a 25,000 lb. (11 T) forklift. The innovative design also maintains a lighter gross weight for easier transportation and lifting with cranes.
"We hear the word 'versatility' all the time from our customers and companies that we speak with throughout the country," says company president Marty Flaska. "In general, our entire FR [series] line is founded on the concept of versatility, but our new FR 15/25 amplifies that concept. We're offering a (forklift) that not only can provide the same capacity and maneuverability of a 15,000-18,000 lb. unit, but also additional capacity up to 25,000 lb. for roughly the same cost."
