Narrow Aisle Ltd's Flexi Gas is being readied for the world stage.
The LPG-powered version of Narrow Aisle's very narrow aisle forklift, debuted at IMHX 2004 this year (
Forkliftaction.com News #151), has been launched into Europe, the US and Asia in a move the company hopes will net about GBP6 million (USD10.7 million) in annual sales.
Narrow Aisle is aiming to sell about 200 machines a year and, with the addition of parts, hopes to raise the annual return to GBP10 million (USD17.8 million) by 2009.
The company's sales and marketing director, John Maguire, told the Birmingham Post & Mail that the machine would be a popular alternative for inside-outside warehouse operation, as it did not require recharging facilities or spare batteries.
"All the signs at present are that the Flexi Gas is being well-received by the market," he said.
Narrow Aisle managing director Peter Wooldridge did not return
Forkliftaction.com News's calls before deadline.
