It seems to be that time of year when the industry looks back at past achievements. Just look at our Briefs items this week and you can't miss the awards results.
This comes as our editor prepares for a trip to Germany early next year to participate in the judging panel for IFOY, the international forklift and logistics awards. Organisers have just announced that the annual IFOY Awards Night, last year held as part of CeMAT, will be staged in April 2019 for the first time as part of the Austrian HERMES Transport.Logistics.Preis. The Vienna gala recognises Austria's logistics and transport achievers, which is a neat fit with the IFOY intralogistics awards.
And a quick side note: this week marks our 900th edition. That may not be one of those traditional milestones, but we'll be celebrating anyway as we have almost two years to wait for the next big one - edition 1,000. So, for now, our thanks to all who have supported us since our first newsletter in 1999 which went out to just 50 readers.
