Last week, while flagging our stories about continuing consolidation in the industry, we anticipated more mergers and acquisitions. Well, we didn't have to wait long: this week, we report on Finnish logistics solutions provider K.Hartwall buying A&A Logistik-Equipment. Again, automation is a key ingredient in the acquisition as A&A is a supplier of customised autonomous guided vehicles.
Meanwhile, New Zealand's Scott Technology has acquired the assets and intellectual property of Transbotics, a US-based AGV manufacturer headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina.
There are a couple more acquisitions reported in this week's newsletter - and we're sure that's not the end of it all.
