Notice anything unusual in this week's Movers & Shakers column?
Three of the four appointments are women. Interestingly, two of them are board-level positions.
That's good news for those who have been campaigning for more opportunities for females in what has largely been a male-dominated industry.
The three women featured this week are all in marketing and communications roles, so perhaps we're still seeing a skills imbalance and many would like to see more women in production, design, engineering and sales leadership roles. Els Thermote, CEO of TVH in the Americas, stands as one of the few female role models and many industry groups are pushing for more gender diversity.
