Inside Contact the Forkliftaction team Safety First columnist Rob Vetter never clocks off. Even when he’s on holidays in the Caribbean, the seasoned safety supporter remains alert to forklift safety issues.
This week, he shares some interesting observations about how some societies value safety and others are so much more laid-back.
Rob, of course, is one of our panel of experts who share different takes on forklift safety on a regular basis.
And we also have a growing stable of bloggers to shed light on a range of relevant topics.
If you’d like to nominate an expert we should call on - or perhaps volunteer to contribute yourself, please let us know.

"We have got a 10 ton 4 post Zippo lift which is German and a 6 ton Somers two post mobile lift. We would not be without them it just makes things so much easier especially when working on big compact machines like Hyster S7.00's. The mobile lift is also good as it a wheel free design so you can do brakes etc standing. Whoever said about parking trucks under though has obviously never used one as there is not enough clearance underneath!!".

"Sounds like maybe there's low voltage going to the solenoid. I would check that with a meter and if it's low check the wiring and connectors for any poor connections.".
