Inside Contact the Forkliftaction team
It’s hard to believe that the holiday season is almost upon us again. News will take a short break on December 25th, but we’ll be back with a special year-end edition on December 31 - yes, that’s a Wednesday.
On the subject of the special edition, can we just remind those organisations which were invited to participate by offering updates and comments that the deadline for submissions is fast approaching. Please make sure you get your contributions in by the end of this month.
And, since we are approaching holiday mode, a special shout-out to our readers in the US who are celebrating Thanksgiving. While many would have forgotten the original significance of the holiday (giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest), we’re sure most in the country have reason to celebrate the achievements and successes of the past year. But let’s not forget the many challenges and opportunities that still lie ahead.
Happy holidays.

Maintain your safe work reputation with leading driver awareness system
Typically in a workplace where vehicles and pedestrians are in close proximity, safety between vehicles is enhanced by a set of traffic rules that rely on human compliance (such as give way rules). Often this reliance on drivers to obey the rules, make correct judgments or see vehicles in their path is not enough.

However, to all these difficulties there is remedy; BodyGuard “iTAG” provides an exclusion zone around the vehicle that is adjustable from around 2m to 7m. When a person wearing a special “iTag” device is detected, the driver is warned by an audible and visual alarm in the cab, giving an opportunity to avoid an incident.

Improve workplace safety | Reduce downtime | Avoid costly investigations | Maintain your safe work reputation.

"While interviewing the client, operators and managers about this failure i was informed this card failure/fuse blowing has occurred when the charger was accidentally plugged into the forklift instead of the battery. Unit has smart charger and will not operate without battery connected. Must be coincidence, charger now cannot be plugged int lift.".
