Amid all the rationalisation, it’s good to read about the expansion plans of Britain’s JCB. The construction equipment giant, with 11 plants in the UK and a similar number overseas, is opening a new distribution hub which will initially employ about 60 people, ramping up to 300 in the next couple of years.
Of course, there is some British government funding behind the expansion, but it’s still a significant investment on the part of JCB, which should be acknowledged for its optimism.

"Even in the Houston market, you know the fourth largest city in America, they only have two units in stock. This is our biggest market by the way. They do not stock inventory and never will, we are a rental driven company.".

"Most 3 wheel lift trucks you find today will be electric and electric lift trucks are not designed to do any type of pulling at all. Overloading the drive system with more stress than it is already designed to pull (pulling the truck and its rated capacity) will cause you more problems down the road than you want to deal with.".
