It never ceases to amaze us where forklifts and other materials handling equipment ends up. This week, for example, we read about the deployment of an all-terrain forklift in war-torn Afghanistan, delivered, no less, by military aircraft and parachuted into place. While this may be an extreme delivery method, the adoption of forklifts is commonplace today, from factories to retail, and new uses continue to evolve for these industry workhorses. Long may it continue.
