There’s been a lot of interest in last week’s report on the growth in the Chinese forklift market in 2010. Some of the attention, unfortunately, centred around an error in the original report by research agency ResearchinChina. In particular, it was the claim that “all of the world’s top 20 forklift manufacturers - except for US-based Crown Equipment and Irish manufacturer Combilift - had entered the Chinese market”. Of course, as reported in Forkliftaction.com News, Crown Equipment Corporation has been in China for some time, opening a manufacturing facility and sales operation in Suzhou in December 2006. Following our contact, ResearchinChina> informs us that it has updated its report to reflect this fact.
