Yale's new ERC45-VG2 series counterbalance forkliftYale Lift Truck Technologies has unveiled two new materials handling products this week - a new automated counterbalance stacker with vertical pallet positioning capability and its new ERC-VG2 series counterbalance forklift, which is an upgrade of its flagship ERC-VG range.
The automated counterbalance stacker has a 3,300 lbs. (1.5T) capacity and a lift height of 13 ft. (4m).
Yale says it enables warehouses to automate the put away and retrieval tasks in stage lanes from conveyors and some racking applications.
“The automated counterbalanced stacker continues our commitment to bringing the benefits of automation to more warehouse operations,” says Kyle Smart, sales manager – automation with Yale Lift Truck Technologies.
“From conveyor picking and put-away to picking up pallets from stretch wrappers, the truck’s vertical capability enables a wide range of common workflows to be automated and unlocks additional labor savings for warehouses.”
The forklift is powered by the Yale Relay automated lift truck portal, unveiled at ProMat in 2025.
This week Yale Lift Truck Technologies also debuted an update to its flagship ERC-VG electric counterbalance forklift, to produce the ERC45-70VG2 electric cushion tyre series.
The ERC45-VG2 series has capacities between 4,500 lbs. and 7,000 lbs. (2T - 3.3T) and is designed for high-intensity warehousing applications.
Yale says the ERC-VG2 series has up to 65% faster lift and lower speeds compared to leading competitors, uses up to 20% less energy over previous models and has the largest through-mast in its class which is 34% larger than the previous model.
It comes with a range of power operations including lead-acid, thin plate pure lead and factory-integrated lithium-ion batteries.
The series has also been designed for reduced maintenance compared to the previous model, with fully sealed wet brake axles requiring 20% less service over the life of the truck.
When service is necessary, quick-access panels, tool-free service points and over-the-air diagnostics, boost maintenance efficiency and minimise downtime.
“Supply chains and warehouse operations run on tight margins, and are pushed to squeeze as much productivity as possible from scarce labor resources,” explains Lauren Grady, product manager with Yale Lift Truck Technologies.
“The ERC-VG2 series pushes electric forklifts forward with key improvements that help operations do more with less and keep total cost of ownership in check.”
