Vallée launches new rough-terrain forkliftQuebec-based materials handling equipment maker Vallée, has launched its new 5,000 lb. (2,300kg) capacity articulated rough-terrain forklift built on the Caterpillar 906 platform.
The 4DA5E, which also serves as the introduction of Vallée’s new ultra-compact product line, has been engineered for the most demanding materials handling applications and, the company states, sets a new standard of performance for the mining, forestry and horticultural industries.
The most compact forklift in Vallée's lineup, the 4DA5E features four-wheel-drive, rough-terrain capability and has an articulated frame, giving operators access to tight workspaces, including shipping containers, enclosed trailers and narrow aisles.
The forklift has a 24 in. (60cm) load centre, a three-stage mast offering lift heights up to 15 ft. (4.6m), and integrated technologies such as an onboard camera and display system to simplify load handling.
Vallée says the use of the Caterpillar 906 platform offers the durability and reliability customers have come to expect from the business.
